Jennifer Chininis

Editor in Chief

Dallas native and University of Texas grad Jennifer Chininis spent the better part of her media career at D Magazine. There she held every editorial position imaginable, from managing editor to executive editor of special interest publications to online editorial director. During her tenure as online editorial director, she got a taste for the exciting, fast-paced world of online journalism and likely drove the development team crazy, asking questions to gain a better understanding of the technology.

After leaving D, she explored the digital and social media world as the digital marketing manager for Central Market, where she helped relaunch the company’s blog and website, among other initiatives. To stay connected to the media world, she continued to freelance on her favorite topic, food, for various local media outlets. In 2012, became the Dallas editor for the Chefs Feed iPhone app.

As editor in chief for CultureMap Dallas, she returns to the role she cherishes most: city curator and insider. But this time she gets to explore that role in the digital space.
