CareBOX founders Jillian Domingue and Lisa Keefauver saw through the experiences of their loved ones and friends that there was a dire need for patients going through cancer treatments to have access to essential supplies at home.

Because these supplies are typically not covered by insurance, CareBOX Program realized that many people were simply going without them, and their health was suffering as a consequence. Once they became aware that one in five cancer-related deaths can be attributed to the effects of malnutrition alone, they knew what their mission would be: deliver free care supplies to cancer patients at home to prevent malnutrition, infections, and injuries.

There are a variety of ways to get involved with CareBOX, including in-office volunteering, delivering CareBOXes straight to patients' homes, collecting items needed for the boxes, and more. Head here for more information on volunteering and/or donating supplies.

The annual Stand Up for CareBOX Program features Austin's funniest comedians, locally crafted beer, wine and cocktails, tasty bites, auctions, live music, and the best views of the city.

Becoming a CareGIVER means automatically helping cancer patients get the supplies they need with a recurring donation.
