ABC Kite Festival

eventdetail

Held on the first Sunday in March for the past 88 years, the ABC Kite Festival is one of Austin’s best-known and oldest annual events. This year’s schedule of fun and family-friendly activities includes the hallmark international kite Showcase and Contest presented by the Exchange Club, a VIP Breakfast, MossFest Children’s Concert, the inaugural Anteater Fun Run, and much more.

Visitors are encouraged to pack a picnic and bring the kids (and dogs) to enjoy a free spring day at the park, and be a part of the spectacular sight of hundreds of kites amongst the Austin skyline.

The festival was originally scheduled for March 5; inclement weather caused the fest to be postponed until March 12.
