Ashley Garmon: Far West Texas opening reception

eventdetail

Ashley Garmon, an Austin-based, award-winning photographer with an unmistakable photojournalistic style, is hosting an opening reception for her newest photography and fine art exhibit, Far West Texas. All images in this series were shot with her well-traveled HOLGA camera in Far West Texas, beginning at sunrise and ending at the end of civil twilight.

Shots included scenes from ranches in the area, from the air in a 1975 Cessna 180J Skywagon with the doors off, and many times just from the side of the road in places like Big Bend National Park, The Davis Mountains, Marathon, Marfa, Terlingua, Alpine, Valentine, and all of the arterial roads that connect the towns of this area.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through January 8, 2016.
