Austin Bacon and Beer Festival 2015

eventdetail
Courtesy of Edible Austin

After an outstanding debut, the Austin Bacon and Beer Festival is coming back in 2015 for a second round of rashers and brews. Curated by Edible Austin and Eat Boston (the original founders), this party offers a variety of bacon-based bites and craft beer tastings for the ba-connoisseur and the brew-obsessed.

30 restaurants and 12 breweries from Central Texas will come together in the name of all things greasy and hoppy. The bacon will be supplied by the likes of Frank, Salty Sow, Barley Swine, St. Philip Pizza Parlor + Bakeshop, Snack Bar, Hoover's Cooking and many more. Some of the best breweries in Texas, including Austin Beerworks, Shiner, Saint Arnold Brewing Co., Hops & Grain Brewery and Independence Brewing Co., as well as the Brooklyn-based Brooklyn Brewery, are bringing the libations.

Tickets for the festival go on sale January 5, 2015 at 10 am. A portion of the proceeds will go to Capital Area Food Bank.
