Beerthoven Concert Series presents Friends in Low Places with Thalea String Quartet

Friends in Low Places is a nod to the musical conversation intrinsic in string quartet writing, from the dawn of the string quartet to the 20th century and beyond. The Thalea String Quartet will perform music including Haydn's Op. 20 Quartet in G Minor, Shostakovich's 3rd Quartet, and the Lyric String Quartette by African-American composer William Grant Still.

The December 2 performance will be at the Neill-Cochran House Museum, while the December 4 performance will be at Austin Saengerrunde.
