Blanton Museum of Art presents Art Talk: "The Avant-Garde Networks of Amauta"

This is the first special program in conjunction with the exhibition "The Avant-Garde Networks of Amauta: Argentina, Mexico, and Peru in the 1920s." Guest speaker Dr. Omar Rivera from Southwestern University will join to share insights into the life of José Carlos Mariátegui, the founder of radical Peruvian journal “Amauta,” exploring the paradoxes of a socialist “Indigenismo.”
