The Blanton Museum of Art will kick start summer with a party "Down Under" in celebration of the opening of "Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art from the Kaplan & Levin Collection" exhibition. This will be an evening of eclectic music, tasty bites & beverages, and more - all inspired by this colorful contemporary art from some of Australia's leading Aboriginal artists.

The event begins with Will Taylor + Strings Attached who will present some original music inspired by the new exhibition, followed by DJs Butcher Bear & soundfounder of Exploded Drawing to keep the party going into the night. Favorite bartenders from The North Door will be to serve drinks. Tasty bites from eateries including the Blanton Cafe will be available for purchase. Drop by the Meredith Lounge and strike a pose at the photo booth, courtesy of MYEVENTISTHEBOMB before customizing your own picture frame to take home your printed memento.

Blanton Museum members get free admission and exclusive access to the relaxing member lounge, including a private bar and a complimentary photo booth. Exclusive Kammok hammocks are available. Also, there will be a guided tour of "Ancestral Modern". Enter your name into the drawings for Museum Shop gift cards.
