Austinites are invited to participate by adopting one or multiple ducks to compete in the race, with individual prizes to be awarded for top-finishing ducks, as well as group prizes for leading registered teams. Prizes include a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, a weeklong trip to Telluride, Colorado for two, an HP Omen gaming computer, custom made cruiser bicycle with helmet and much more.
Proceeds from adoptions benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area together with the Austin Boys and Girls Club Foundation, ensuring that thousands of local youth can reach their full potential to become productive, caring and responsible citizens.
