Bullock Texas State History Museum presents "Cowboys in Space and Fantastic Worlds" closing day

From Jules Verne's 1868 book, Trip to the Moon, Gene Autry's 1935 Phantom Empire, Star TrekStar Wars, and on to a galaxy full of contemporary science fiction, visitors will discover how the cowboy went from herding cattle on the Texas plains to slinging ray guns on distant planets.

This Bullock Museum original exhibition features numerous artifacts, including toys, rare comics, pulp magazines, novels, original art, movie and television costumes, and props. Multimedia displays feature film clips and interactive experiences that immerse visitors of all ages in the history and fantastic, imaginative worlds of science fiction westerns.
