Capital Metro presents The Austin Collective

eventdetail

In this exhibit, 15 of the city's most talented photographers and filmmakers bring their stories and their transit experiences to life. The project is patterned after the website “The Humans of New York,” but is focused on a more targeted subject. Over the past year, the artists interviewed and photographed passengers on buses, on trains and at stops and stations. Some artists were driven by the distinctive characters they encountered, others by conversations that led to compelling stories. The Austin Collective is not only a direct reflection of riders, but also a reflection of our diverse, unique and vibrant city. This exhibit is being held in conjunction with the East Austin Studio Tours.
