Día de la Canción Criolla - Day of the Creole Song
La Chaparrita Peruvian Restaurant is proud to announce its Third Annual Día de la Canción Criolla (Day of the Creole Song) taking place on November 2nd in the Highland Mall Food Court. Peruvian creole band Matices del Peru will be headlining the event and playing traditional Peruvian canción criolla (creole music), such as jaranas, valses, landos, marineras, polkas and festejos. Día de la Canción Criolla is a cultural music event celebrating Peru’s creole musical heritage, which consists of a harmony of African, Spanish and indigenous musical styles.
La Chaparrita Peruvian Restaurant will be serving homestyle creole dishes, such as lomo saltado, aji de gallina and ceviche to name a few, while offering patrons a selection of Peruvian beers and beverages for an authentic Peruvian experience. Guests will have the opportunity to win a free catering party for 20 people sponsored by La Chaparrita at the end of the night.
