Going into its 8th year, Austin Fashion Week is the largest fashion event in Texas and one of the most highly acclaimed in the Southern United States. AFW 2016 will feature an all new lineup of events including:

  • Austin Fashion Week Kickoff: To kick off the festivities, Austin Fashion Week will be hosting a gallery-style viewing of nearly 30 vivid Mash-Up Team images printed on canvas along with presentations of the models. Enjoy delicious cocktails while mingling with some of Austin’s most creative designers, hair stylists, makeup artists, photographers, models, stylists, and more at Speakeasy.
  • Austin Fashion Week Brunch: This stylish Brunch presented by John Hardy will help celebrate the iconic The Driskill’s 130th birthday. Enjoy 130 years of fashion through a special runway show featuring Big Bertha’s Paradise, John Hardy and Alexandra Dieck of Lexicon of Style with hair and makeup by Red Stella. Brunch will honor Style Setter Aida G. Dieck and a portion of all ticket proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association, Capital Area Division.
  • Austin Fashion Week Soirees: AFW at Soirees as Austin boutiques, salons, spas, and gallery spaces open their doors to host designer trunk shows, mini runway events, shopping events, and more. Most events are free and open to the public, so party hop across the city and experience all Austin has to offer.
  • Thursday Runways and Gallery: The Runway nights begin with full collections presented by local designers Katie Kime, M.E. Shirley, Plenty-FM and Samantha Plasencia; emerging designers, Masha Osoianu Design and Perfect Population; and stars that have been featured on Lifetime Television’s hit show Project Runway, including Daniel Esquivel, Sean Kelly, and La Miniatura by Jeffrey Sebelia. In addition to these full collections, there will be three-piece capsules by Texas-based designers Archetypes, WITCHxxDOCTOR, Oshlianna Dreamel, Gustavia, KOVAS Swim, Cristal Martinez, and Studio Ufoma. Prior to the runway shows and during intermission, browse and shop The Gallery featuring nearly 20 pop-ups of apparel, jewelry and accessories lines, including: Betty Alida, CassandraCollections, Hunt Design, League of Rebels, Lexicon of Style, Korto Momolu, Nokéo, Omorovicza, and Rosse & James, among others. Hair provided by Avant Salon Spa, makeup by Omorovicza and Mandy Hernandez. Thursday Runways will honor Style Setter Laura Craddick with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
  • Friday Runways and Gallery: Friday’s Runways feature full collections presented by local designers Linda Asaf Design, Gail Chovan, Sally Daneshjou Collection, and Rare Trends; emerging designers Clan of Cro and Lauren Nicole; and stars that have been featured on Lifetime Television’s hit show Project Runway including Gunnar Deatherage, Korto Momolu, Jeffrey Sebelia: DtE in California, and Sonjia Williams. In addition to these full collections, there will be three-piece capsules by Texas-based designers DonaciVNO, Flawless Honey couture by JDeen, Nina Means, and megMORGAN. Prior to the runway shows and during intermission, browse and shop The Gallery featuring nearly 20 pop-ups of apparel, jewelry and accessories lines, including: Coastal Road, Melissa Fleis, Janika, Jewels of a Crown, Molly Phillips Jewelry, Siga shoes, Sinister Brand, The Jen Collection, and Amanda Valentine, among others. Hair provided by SALON by milk + honey. Friday Runways will honor Style Setter Bobbi Topfer with a portion of the proceeds benefitting ZACH Theater.
  • Saturday Runways and Gallery: Saturday’s Runways feature full collections presented by local designers Ross Bennett, Scout Sports, Isabella Rose Taylor, and THIS IS SLOANE; emerging designers Bentley and Lace and Tinsley Radix; and stars that have been featured on Lifetime Television’s hit show Project Runway including Melissa Fleis, Michelle Lesniak, and Amanda Valentine. In addition to these full collections, there will be three-piece capsules by Texas-based designers Marco Arrington, DAHL., SixChel by Dina Chávez, and Strigiformes. Prior to the runway shows and during intermission, browse and shop The Gallery featuring nearly 20 pop-ups of apparel, jewelry and accessories lines, including: Blaine Bowen, BookATailor, Monee Elizabeth, Ferrah, FindYourUncommon, Kyari, M.E. Shirley, Raven + Lily, Soto & Co., SUAVS, and Sonjia Williams, among others. Hair provided by Urban Betty, makeup by Red Stella. Saturday Runways will honor Style Setter Andrea McWilliams with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Ballet Austin.

All Runways & Gallery events will include an Austin Fashion Week red carpet experience and bars featuring Chloe Wine Collection. BERNINA of America will also recognize an emerging designer for excellence in their craft with the BERNINA Fashion Fund, which includes a suite of products and services to further their career.
