Downtown Austin’s art galleries are teaming up to present the First Friday Art Walk, a special night designed to celebrate the Austin arts community. Visitors will enjoy extended hours, special performances, live music, art giveaways, and drinks and bites at some of Austin’s downtown art venues.
First Friday Art Walk is a night to foster friendships between locals, artists and the downtown businesses that support them. Twyla will have an artwork giveaway, light bites and drinks by Tito’s Vodka and music by the Austin-based band American Dreamer; Den will have a DJ, a special guest performance and drinks provided by Tito’s and GEM&BOLT Mezcal; OLA Gallery will offer drinks by Tito’s and Juiceland; and Art.Work will have a photo booth, drinks and light bites.
The local artists highlighted include Rebecca Rothfus Harrell (Twyla), Terra Goolsby (Twyla), Jonas Criscoe (OLA), Jessica Engle (Art.Work), Ashley Shelton (Art.Work), David Noriega (Art.Work) and Catatonic Art (Art.Work).
