Women have occupied kitchens for decades, but now they run restaurants, write books, and raise crops. The Women and Food Symposium is a day-long conversation that explores the role of gender in our food system.

Journalists, entrepreneurs, academics and food activists join to discuss how to make a living with food as a focus.

The Women and Food Symposium is presented by The Food Lab, a catalyst for scientific and cultural exploration, experimentation and innovation in the food system and supported by the School of Human Ecology at The University of Texas at Austin.
