Brought to you completely free courtesy of Ain't It Cool News, Toy Joy, and Austin Chronicle, Free Kid's Club presents its most cerebral screening yet. Forbidden Planet not only stars a deadly serious Leslie Nielsen in a loose adaptation of Shakespeare's Tempest, it also features a terrifying monster that is barely ever seen and a brief foray into psychoanalysis and the power of the id. The film engages both young and old with serious subject matter, intensely bright colors, and Robby the Robot.
