Gigi’s Cupcakes is celebrating the grand opening of its newest location in Bee Cave. The grand opening will feature a special appearance by founder Gigi Butler, who will accompany the store’s owners, University of Texas alumni and NFL star football players Brian Orakpo, Michael Griffin, and Bryan Hynson for a Swirl-a-bration.
Butler will be at the store from 12-2 pm, giving customers a chance to meet the culinary creator behind the popular brand. Festivities will also include appearances by Texas Longhorn legends, including Jamaal Charles, Michael Huff, Derrick Johnson, and more.
Golden tickets will be inserted randomly into boxes of cupcakes for a chance to win signed memorabilia from current and former Longhorn and NFL players. Guests can also enter to win a cupcake decorating session led by Orakpo and Griffin.
Gigi’s Bee Cave will be collecting donations of new clothing, pajamas, socks, underwear, diapers and backpacks for Foster Village, a volunteer organization providing support and donations for new foster families and children. Customers who donate will receive $5 in Cupcake Cash for a future visit to Gigi’s Bee Cave.
