An award-winning artist, Marilyn Artus, started her 14-month journey across the United States in celebration of the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote. During her travels, she will be sewing Her Flag, a grand flag measuring 18x26 feet. Her Flag will be the result of a collaboration with 36 women artists who live in each of the 36 states that ratified the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote. Each of these 36 artists designed one stripe that Marilyn will sew in the capital city of each state.

Texas-based artist Mila Sketch created the Texas stripe, which will be released at this event. There will be music by Claudia Gibson, winner of the 2018 Woody Guthrie Songwriting Competition for "Dreamers."
