Lake Austin Spa Resort presents Summer Chef Series: Gail Simmons
Gail Simmons will showcase her culinary skills in a cooking class for overnight guests of Lake Austin Spa on August 15, followed by a wine reception and book signing on August 16. Simmons' cooking class will highlight some of her signature dishes, such as Farro Tabbouleh, Salt Baked Trout and a Rustic Fresh Fig Tart.
Simmons is a Top Chef darling, Food & Wine contributor and author. Since the show’s inception in 2006, she has lent her extensive expertise as a permanent judge on Bravo’s Emmy-winning series Top Chef, the #1 food show on cable television. Simmons is also the head critic on Top Chef Duels and was previously host of Top Chef Just Desserts. She directs special projects at Food & Wine magazine and published her memoir, Talking With My Mouth Full, in 2012.
