The Latino Comedy Project presents Gentrif*cked

eventdetail

In the Latino Comedy Project’s Gentrif*cked, The Resistance starts at home. The evening will feature hilarious special guests: Austin’s only bilingual improv troupe Migas, and the stand-up comedy of “Funniest Person In Austin” finalist Vanessa Gonzalez.

The LCP’s all-new original sketch show examines the causes and consequences of gentrification as it affects Austin and communities across America. What happens when a community’s piñata shops are demolished and replaced with cat-friendly vegan coffeehouses? When are neighborhood pulgas transformed overnight into luxury condos? Or when Mexicans are replaced with obsessively dog-walking paddleboard enthusiasts?

Through their trademark mix of live sketches, music and original videos, the LCP provides all the hard answers and leaves no one unscathed.
