Leslie Kell, Chalda Maloff, and Paul McGuire share a long friendship and partnership. Their artistic journeys have benefitted from the stimulation of joint exhibits, thoughtful conversations, and interchanges of ideas. Many of these discourses have transpired at Link & Pin Gallery, always home to a whirlpool of stimulating imagery and discussion.

With “Creative Currents,” the three artists combine tradition and innovation, to apply contemporary media to the time-honored topic of water. Navigating the complex currents of the digital arena, these artists employ widely divergent methods and aesthetic perspectives. Kell creates her surreal artworks using an original technique that synthesizes her artistry in design and photography. Maloff uses commercial art software to merge freehand tablet drawing with her developed complement of digital effects, to bring forth images evocative of emotion and spirituality. McGuire combines fractal algorithms with his custom-developed software to mimic the flows and patterns of the natural world.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through July 18.
