The Mom Gallery will present Dad by Jesse Morgan Barnett. Barnett is a Dallas-based artist whose work has been exhibited at the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center (Dallas), Dallas Contemporary, INTERSTATE (Brooklyn), Lawndale Art Center (Houston), FQ projects (Shanghai), Gallery Rostrum (Malmö), and OFG.XXX (Dallas), among other locations in London, Roswell, Malaysia, Wales and France. His work has also been featured in publications such as Adbusters, Flash Forward, and Semigloss. magazine. Barnett co-founded the Dallas Biennial, is a member of the collaborative group Dick Higgins, and works at the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth as the assistant curator of education. His work attempts to revalue a personal life, appropriation, aging, anniversaries and drift.
