Slow Food Austin wants to whet your appetite for aquaponics. You're invited to a special lunch and a tour of Agua Dulce Farm, an urban aquaponic farm in southeast Austin. Meet the farmer, Jack Waite, and learn all about the benefits of aquaponics, a sustainable farming practice that combines hydroponics (soil-less farming) with aquaculture (fish farming) in a closed re-circulating system. You'll also enjoy Aqua Dulce's pure and delicious vegetables in a farm-to-table lunch menu developed by chef Sonya Coté of Coté Catering, Eden East and Hillside Farmacy.

The event is BYOB and all ticket revenue goes back to the farm.
