Terror Tuesday: Maximum Overdrive
Before 1986, Stephen King was not only a best-selling author, his books were inspiring highly successful and popular movie adaptations. Eventually, the success went to King's head, and he decided that he should take a whack at directing his own movie in order to perfectly capture his macabre vision. But instead of The Shining, audiences got Maximum Overdrive, a movie starring Emilio Estevez fighting against appliances and 18-wheelers that come alive and start attacking people. It is a horror classic, but just in a different way than Carrie.
