"Down in Houston" features photography by James Fraher and text by Roger Wood, who have been documenting the blues in Houston since 1995. Their work tells the story of the musicians who gave voice to a working-class community, a still ongoing conversation about good times and hard times, smokin' Saturday nights, and blue Mondays.

The event will also feature a live blues band and commentary by exhibit curators.
