To further understand the role that climate has in the whiskey aging process, the Treaty Oak team buried barrels of their Ghost Hill Bourbon Whiskey underground two years ago. On Harvest Day, ticketed guests will be able to join in on the exhuming of the buried barrel and conduct a side-by-side tasting with the bourbon that has been aging open-air. Each ticket holder will participate in a ranch and distillery tour, bottling experience, receive two special release experimental Ghost Hill Bourbon bottles aged in different climatic conditions and a VIP oak wood fired BBQ.

The VIP experience will begin with a historical tour of the Treaty Oak property, formerly known as Ghost Hill Ranch, where guests will learn about the folks who used the grounds as a watering hole and meeting place for hundreds of years prior.

The insider’s tour of the distillery will engage each guest into the process of whiskey making, from fermentation and distillation to maturation. The distillery portion of the tour will be facilitated by the distillery’s own wheat farmer where he will speak on sustainable farming and heirloom grains sourced for the whiskey as guests conduct  side-by-side tasting. The tasting will conclude with the bottling and wax-dipping of each guest's own two bottles to take home: Treaty Oak Ghost Hill Bourbon Barrel #739A and #739B.

Following the bottling experience, guests will indulge in the pitmaster, Scott Fogel’s, oak wood inspired specials including Texas Brisket, Smoked New York Strip Skewers with housemade Chimichurri, Chicken al Carbon and Portobello Mushrooms.
