With a fresh and dynamic lineup of internationally renowned thought leaders each semester, the Lectures and Exhibitions series is considered the signature public event series of the School of Architecture. Leaders in architecture, interior design, urban design, landscape architecture, and other allied disciplines present talks that capture career highlights and offer a range of models for practice, covering built projects, visionary concepts, and game-changing theories.

UT Austin School of Architecture alumnus and award-winning architect, contractor, and developer David Lake will return to his alma mater to discuss “Sustainability and Craft.” Lake has a long-term commitment to sustainable design and believes architecture must fit environmentally and contextually, connecting us to place through stewardship of natural resources. Founding partner of Lake|Flato Architects, his firm’s recent work includes the Austin Central Library and the Pearl Brewery Redevelopment in San Antonio.
