Silhouette has a lot of things going for it in the race to become Austin's favorite sushi restaurant. The Congress Avenue location makes it a great spot for dinner before heading out for a show at the Paramount or an adventure down on 6th Street. Parking is still manageable that far north of downtown. The long, sprawling restaurant has tons of seating so there is hardly ever a wait. The rolls and sashimi are always fresh and pleasantly plump, and there are plenty of food options for every dietary restriction. Topping out the list is the addition of karaoke rooms for more fun than you should be allowed to have at a classy establishment like this.
Silhouette has an interesting approach to happy hour extending far beyond their basic 5 - 7pm happy hour. For example, happy hour continues all day on Mondays, Tuesdays are ladies' night (with half off martinis and sushi), and Saturdays have midnight happy hour.
Check out what's happening upstairs at Loft 718, which generally features a lot of sweaty, late-night, record-spinning parties.
