Located in an unassuming strip mall off Airport and Manor, it's easy to miss the exact location of Austin's most promising new addition to the mainstream theatre scene. But once you're inside, you'll most likely be charmed by the quaint nature of this intimate theater space and simple multipurpose stage. This bare bone approach to theatre works great when audiences willingly employ their imaginations and the actors work harder to bridge the gaps in the mutual endeavor of creative pretending. Luckily, the actors and directors of City Theatre are up for this particular challenge, and the quality of their shows continues to increase steadily.
