Recently added to the National Register of Historic Places, Deep Eddy is a relaxing natural pool with roots that stretch back to the early days of Austin. Today, Deep Eddy is a friendly watering hole for lap-swimmers, townies, families, and visitors. The pool has a natural gradual decline, making it ideal for small children, although the surprisingly clean pool is not chlorinated (i.e. only ideal for the potty-trained). Don't expect to bring in outside food or drinks, the concession stand will be happy to feed your needs. Deep Eddy is supported by donations, which further defines it as one of those places that makes Austin great.
During the summer, Deep Eddy offers Splash Movie Nights with a floating movie screen so you can enjoy a dip and flick!
