The first photograph ever taken is housed at the Harry Ransom Center, as are The Gutenberg Bible and original drafts of David Foster Wallace's unfinished novel. These and other unbelievable artifacts of America's history are stored in plain view for those electrified by evidence of our past. Group and individual tours are available daily in the galleries, and the librarians are always full of phenomenal stories and further research suggestions. Don't be afraid to strike up a conversation.
