The inventive chefs at Frank are elevating the classic hot dog experience by introducing Austinites to creative sausage combinations including alligator, kangaroo, venison and more. Experimentation with the extensive weekly specials is always encouraged (and usually rewarded), although the classic Chicago dog is a guaranteed home run. The delicious sides are nostalgic favorites like mac n' cheese, beanie weenie, cole slaw and waffle fries. Make sure to try the unique drink specials like the bacon-infused bloody mary or one of their specialty coffee drinks. The extra-hip serving staff match the overall goodwill of the renovated interior, encouraging diners to relax and escape to a friendlier time.
Every Sunday from 7 - 9 p.m. is Frank Swank, offering 1/2 price wine with live jazz music.
Metal Mondays from 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. offers $4 beers with shots. And Wednesdays are Frank's Rec Room with ping pong and arcade games along with $3 beers until 11 p.m.
Take a moment to look around: The menu and restaurant design was concepted by local design heroes Decoder Ring.
