Nestled in a tiny neighborhood on the edge of downtown and Lady Bird Lake, it is easy to skip right by G'Raj Mahal if you're not looking closely. In reality, the "restaurant" is little more than a food trailer and a canopied seating area set up in a gravel lot. But if you accept G'Raj Mahal for all its outdoor charms, you'll be rewarded with some of the best Indian food in town. Made with organic and local ingredients whenever possible, the quality of the cuisine is top-notch and well worth the reasonable prices of this popular dinner establishment.
While drinks are available on the menu, G'Raj Mahal is BYOB, and on Fridays and Saturdays, stays open until 3 a.m. for the more finnicky after-bar food. G'Raj Mahal also shares space with the Austin Bike Zoo, so you'll also be greeted by a menagerie of bicycle-mounted animal sculptures.
