Rows and rows of picnic tables out back make for one of the more popular hangouts of the mustachioed and tattooed on East Sixth. Not only are the further-east location and al fresco areas draws, but the original East Side King trailer adds to Liberty's appeal.
While large groups comfortably mingle and meet outside, the interior offers lots of space and smells refreshingly like a good ol' dive bar, complete with a stacked juke box and fast bartenders who never seem to under-pour a drink.
Don't get frustrated when you have to drive around a bit in order to find street parking; that's the standard drill. Also be sure to indulge in late night noms, courtesy of East Side King.
