Paradise Cafe takes up residence in the corner space of an historic, 135-year-old building that was once the local cotton exchange. The 12-foot tall doors are the same doors from those olden days and are made exclusively of cypress wood. Inside you'll find standard wooden decor with splashes of color, appropriate for a bar called "Paradise." A novelty for a 6th St. bar, consistent barfood available all day until midnight, whereupon the 6th Street crowd descends and turns this corner joint into a fraternity and/or young professional drinking Mecca.
Paradise recently remodeled and opened an upstairs space (including a perfectly positioned balcony), greatly expanding the bar's capacity and improving overall ambiance.
