Ranch 616 is an adorably kitschy ranch-style diner that transports you to another time in Texas. Their cuisine features frog legs, tiger shrimp, caldo de pollo, mussels and oysters, most of which are fried in a golden crispy batter. According to owner/chef Kevin Williamson, "The specialty of Ranch 616 is not a specific food. It is more so the entire concept of the restaurant. The food is not Tex-Mex, it's not Southwestern. The closest concept of the restaurant would be South Texas Ice House." But aside from the fried goodness at Ranch 616, tequila is king, and their premium margaritas are well worth the trip.
There's live music at Ranch 616 every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 8pm.
