Spider House helps keep Austin weird. This is an eclectic, funky, mostly outdoor, people-watching place. Located in a remodeled cottage home, the caffeinated hipster or student or freelancer can find some grub, some live music, and a nice selection of beers surrounded by gothic statues, eclectic antiques (or junk, depending upon your perspective) and holiday lights. Because everyday in Austin is a holiday, right?
Daily drink specials and a daily happy hour, all day, everyday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
The Spider House Ballroom is right next door and hosts the Austin Poetry Slam every Tuesday night.
