Along Came a Slider

Along Came a Slider is the brainchild of Tyler Johnson and Jeffrey Schaefer, two well-known chefs in the Austin culinary community. Their gourmet sliders are made with sustainable, organic ingredients, and the meat is always hormone and antibiotic free. The WD Pig slider--made with pecan coffee rubbed pork shoulder, Texas pinot noir BBQ sauce and jalapeno slaw--is a particularly big seller. Another equally popular order is the Not So Poor Boy, consisting of a catfish patty topped with pickled habanero carrot slaw and blackened aoli. Good thing these guys are small, because it's likely you'll want to give each slider on the menu a whirl. Just don't forget to order the burger's best friend--house-cut french fries and house-made ketchup.
