Austin Children's Museum
|
With innovating programming and 12,500 square feet of hands-on activities, the Austin Children's Museum is a wonderland for curious parents and kids alike. School groups are regularly touring the latest exhibits, but families are always welcome to join a tour themselves or explore at their own pace. All of the exhibits are informed by artists and scientists to engage youngsters with problem-solving strategies and social science lessons. In addition to the exhibits, there are regular clubs, meetings and camps to involve students all year round.
There is no Museum parking per se, but parking is reduced for validated Museum visitors in the AMLI Downtown garage on Lavaca between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Wednesday nights from 5 - 8pm are Community Nights, when admission is donation only. Sundays from 4 - 5pm are free admission for everyone.
