Austin Convention Center

If there's an important national event happening in Austin, it's likely happening at the Austin Convention Center. With five convention halls, seven expanding ballrooms and meeting rooms of all shapes and sizes, this sprawling complex accommodates thousands of convention-goers with ease. Conveniently located on six blocks of Cesar Chavez, the Convention Center is easy walking distance from I-35, Lady Bird Lake and all of downtown's hotel, shopping and night life.
Parking is a nightmare during large conventions like SXSW. Best to find a bike or bus route that will get you close to the action. If you're willing to pay, the parking garages along Trinity and San Antonio charge up to $30/day.
