Bass Concert Hall
|
The recently renovated Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Concert Hall is one of the largest and finest performance facilities in the country due to its beauty, size and state of the art accouterments. For this reason, this Texas Performing Arts auditorium is Austin's most sought after venue for touring fine art musicians, musical theatre productions and other special events. The orchestra pit can hold up to 100 musicians, and the house seats nearly 3,000 audience members on its three seating levels. Along with the new glass front, the lobby has been expanded and brightened while the seats and floors were resurfaced. The fifth floor now hosts an expanded concession area, and the sixth floor patio boasts a fantastic view of the UT Tower and the nearby LBJ Museum.
Valet parking is available for most performances but parking in the campus parking structures is simple on nights and weekends with enough time.
Tip: Box office opens one and a half hours prior to shows in case you are looking for last minute seats.
