Black Star Co-op
Black Star Co-op
Black Star Co-op is an entirely unique brewery and restaurant. Its concept came to life a few years ago, as one of the first of its kind. Today, it is a flourishing cooperatively owned brewery with around 15 or so housemade beers along with other local and non-local microbrews. The food on the ever-changing menu is excellent as well, especially the fish and chips made with fresh gulf redfish. Best of all, the kitchen is entirely sustainable and environmentally-conscientous, so the local support of Austinites is given right back to the community.
Anyone can become a member-owner at Black Star for just $150. Membership allows you to attend decision-making meetings and member events, receive discounts and refunds as well as birthday specials.
