Blanton Museum of Art
|
Located on the southern edge of UT's campus, on the corner of MLK and Congress Avenue, The Blanton Museum is an accessible gateway into contemporary American, European and Latin American artwork. With a quarterly rotating set of exhibitions in three primary gallery spaces, everyone will find a style, an artist or a time period they can appreciate. The expansive museum was updated to its current status in 2006 to include administrative offices, a cafe and community meeting spaces, making it one of the largest university museums in the country. Regular literature readings and musical performances happen throughout the museum's many spectacular locations.
Free admission every third Thursday of the month and is open until 9 p.m., along with a cafe happy hour.
