El Arroyo is the perfect place to come with friends when you just want a big plate of cheesy Tex-Mex goodness served with a side of fried something-or-other. The inexpensive dishes are comically large, and most everything is covered in a sauce of some sort with a lettuce and tomato garnish on the side. Sports games and weekday happy hours bring folks out in droves to the outdoor patio to enjoy the Mexican martinis and top-shelf margaritas. Once the drinks start flowing, we dare you to resist the indulgent appetizers like chorizo-stuffed jalapenos or queso flameado. The focus is on casual hospitality, so everyone will feel comfortable hanging out here.
El Arroyo downtown is famous for the hilarious, appropos sign that they change every week in front of the restaurant, featuring messages such as "Free STD Testing Here for Raider Rash" during football season.
Live music on Saturdays from 3 - 8pm. Happy hour rangest from 2 - 7pm on weekdays with specials on pitchers, top shelf margaritas and Mexican martinis.
