Elephant Room
|
Located beneath an unassuming sushi restaurant on Congress Av., and marked only by a small sign, The Elephant Room can be easily overlooked in spite of its downtown locale. But that's part of its charm, and probably part of the reason Wynton Marsalis named it one of the top ten jazz clubs in America. That and the well-known jazz and blues musicians who take stage seven nights a week. The space is slendor, dimly lit and intimate, a perfect compliment to the sounds from the stage.
You might pay a cover on weekends, but most weekday shows are free of charge.
