The Highball has closed and moved, set to reopen in 2012.
If you're wondering what to do tonight or have an hour to waste before a movie, you will never go wrong at The Highball. Tim League from the Alamo Drafthouse made the ideal nostaligic adult playtime center with special events happening every night of the week. Grab a drink at the fully-stocked bar and make your way through the high-class, high-style fun zone. Best your friends or hone your skills at one of the eight bowling lanes or seven themed karaoke rooms rentable by the hour. Join the fun on the ballroom stage for that evening's special event, anything from live local music to improv comedy to karaoke with live musical accompaniment. Or have a seat in the sparkle-red padded chairs in the lounge for some of their signature cocktails or delicious menu items. With so many different things to do, the crowd is mixed across the "younger" and the "older." You may just forget about your movie if you're not careful.
Happy Hour happens most weekdays from 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and features free private karaoke, $20/lane bowling, $2.00 pints and Lone Stars and $4.00 well drinks.
Wednesdays, Happy Hour prices last all day on drinks.
Book in advance for one of the themed karaoke rooms. Look up the rules of bowling in advance, you have to score yourself.
