Justine's Brasserie
|
Upscale but entirely affordable, Justine's Brasserie offers outstanding French and European cuisine to a wide variety of adventurous Austinites. The east 5th Street location is definitely a trek from downtown, but the incredible French ambience (all furnishings came directly from the owners' roadtrip across France) and delicious dinners make it worth the drive. The staff is young and definitely of the aloof hipster variety, adding to the casual, eclectic vibe of the place. The menu includes classic French favorites like Coq au Vin alongside Ratatouille and a straight-up Royale with Cheese (cheeseburger). And don't forget their vintage cocktails featuring apertifs, wines, champagnes and after-dinner drinks. There's a reason Justine's is gaining critical attention, and it's only a matter of time before the crowds begin taking notice...
