Long Center for the Performing Arts
Long Center
The Long Center is impossible to miss in the city's checklist of impressive architectural achievements. Overlooking downtown from Lady Bird Lake's south shore, the giant stone and glass face welcomes audiences to take in some of the best live performances from around the world. With its two gorgeous stages, massive outdoor patio and sprawling grassy knolls, the Center is an accessible space for Austinites to congregate and utilize year-round. Performances range from touring Broadway stars to cultural dance troupes to mainstage professional theatre events. Every night out at the Long Center feels like a special occassion with the magnificent architecture, the buzzing crowd and the panoramic view of Austin's nighttime skyline.
Parking takes a while if you don't valet, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time to park and enjoy the scenery before the show starts.
