Maria, Maria is fashioned from a passion for Carlos Santana's serenade of the same name. High ceilings, hanging metal light fixtures, and huge mural paintings surround the dark, moody interior of this swanky lounge and cantina that Carlos himself chose to reflect his passion for art, music and food. The chefs' "simplified interpretation of Mexican cuisine" tastes much more robust than you might expect from a chain restaurant, with a fantastic combination of chicken, beef, pork and seafood dishes brought to life with delicious sauces and creams. Although the live music pervading the restaurant is typically provided by a Santana cover band, the only thing cheesy at Maria, Maria is the queso.
