Olivia Restaurant
|
If you pay attention to food publications, you've no doubt heard of South Austin's latest superstar, Olivia. Excecutive chef and owner James Holmes turns his French training into superb results on the creative combinations of delicate meats and sauces, salads and seafoods. There is a nice balance between sweet and savory in each of the dishes, and there is something on the menu for every sophisticated palate to enjoy. The morning brunch is more pricey than you would encounter elsewhere, but the quality of the ingredients is undoubtedly worth it. Plan to take your time at Olivia, sample their curious wine list and take in the elegant decor and styling of the oblong building's charm. Try your meal outside; a seat out on the heated patio under the Austin twilight is maybe the perfect way to spend a Saturday night.
Reservations highly recommended.
